Following on from the success of last year’s event, raising £18,000 for the Holy Trinity Primary School on Barbuda, we are delighted to be hosting a reunion golf day to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and generosity.  We are also thrilled that more friends are able to join us this year, and we look forward to bringing a little slice of the Caribbean back to Cowdray for the day!

Wednesday 12th June 2019

Cowdray Park Golf Club, Midhurst, West Sussex

Entrance costs £85 pp (£60 pp for Cowdray members) and will include refreshments on arrival, the 18-rounds on the stunning West Sussex course and a Caribbean BBQ on the terrace afterwards.

We will be joined as before by the fantastic team from Komo Cocktails and this year, the rum is being supplied by our amazing friends at the Portsmouth Distillery.  With the launch of their Cinnabar Spiced Rum this year, we are delighted they will be at our day to support The Barbuda Cup.

We would be delighted if any other friends or family would like to join us for cocktails after the Golf and join in with the BBQ.  Tickets for the BBQ are £20pp.

The Reason

Overnight on the 5th September 2017, the island of Barbuda was all but obliterated by Hurricane Irma. 95% of the island was wiped out – the hospital, schools, shops, homes all gone.

The Day

18 teams went head to head on the day with a Shotgun start at 11am. Teams of three were drawn to play with a ‘Friend of Barbuda’ on the day. The evening closed with rum cocktails at the clubhouse, live music and a Caribbean BBQ.

The Cowdray Course

Set amidst spectacular rolling downland, Cowdray Park Golf Course is considered to be one of the most beautiful in southern England and offers a true test of golf, with 18 holes on a par 70 course measuring 6,331 yards.
